1. Agreement and updates
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to StartupMeu’s websites and services (the “Services”). The Services are provided by Wardiere Technologies (“StartupMeu,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
We may update the Terms. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes where required. If you continue using the Services after revised Terms take effect, you accept them to the extent permitted by law.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
- You must provide accurate account details, keep them current, and protect your sign-in credentials.
- You may act for a business only if you are authorized to represent it and submit its information.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One person must not impersonate another person or create accounts to bypass a restriction, coupon limit, or prior enforcement action.
We may request reasonable information to verify an account or investigate activity. Email or phone verification alone does not verify identity, business ownership, investor status, accreditation, ability to fund, or the truth of a profile.
3. What StartupMeu does — and does not do
StartupMeu provides a marketplace where businesses may publish profiles and funding needs, and potential investors may discover profiles, save businesses, express interest, and request a connection. A founder may accept or decline a connection request.
StartupMeu is a discovery and connection service only. We do not act as a broker, dealer, placement agent, investment adviser, fiduciary, lender, escrow provider, or party to a transaction. We do not offer, recommend, endorse, value, underwrite, verify, negotiate, arrange, execute, clear, or settle any investment or financing transaction. We do not hold or transfer investment funds, issue or allocate securities, or promise that a business will receive funding or that an investor will obtain a return.
Users make their own decisions. Any due diligence, assessment, investment decision, negotiation, legal documentation, payment, and transaction is handled independently between the relevant parties. Users should obtain qualified legal, financial, tax, and other professional advice as appropriate.
Profiles, search results, categories, and filters are organizational tools. They are not rankings, endorsements, recommendations, or statements that an opportunity is suitable for any person.
4. Profiles and user content
You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to the rights needed to operate the Services. You grant StartupMeu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute your content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Services and as permitted by your visibility settings.
You represent that you have the rights and authority needed to submit the content, that it is not knowingly false or misleading, and that its publication and use through the Services do not violate law, contract, privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights. You are responsible for keeping business and fundraising information accurate and current.
Public listings may be viewable, copied, indexed, or shared by people outside your intended audience. Do not place confidential or sensitive material in a public profile. Document visibility controls reduce access but cannot guarantee that an authorized recipient will not copy or redistribute a document.
We may review, restrict, remove, or decline content where we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates legal or safety risk, or harms the Services or users. We do not promise to review every listing or independently verify user content.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services to commit fraud, impersonate someone, misrepresent a business or investment, or submit materially deceptive information;
- make an unlawful securities offer, solicitation, or financial promotion through the Services;
- use the Services to provide investment recommendations or claim StartupMeu has endorsed an opportunity;
- upload malware, unlawfully obtained information, another person’s confidential information, or content that infringes rights;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against, spam, or repeatedly contact users who have declined or blocked you;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- circumvent access controls, document permissions, rate limits, coupon rules, or moderation measures;
- use the Services in a way that violates applicable law or these Terms.
6. Business subscriptions, coupons, and promotions
Investor access is planned to be free. Business listing access is offered at the price displayed at checkout; the planned standard price is $29 USD per month, subject to the currency, taxes, payment provider, and terms disclosed before purchase.
Unless the checkout states otherwise, a paid subscription renews automatically for successive billing periods until cancelled. You authorize the payment provider to charge the payment method you supply for the displayed fees and applicable taxes. We may use third-party payment providers; their terms and privacy notices also apply.
Promotional access and coupons are subject to the offer’s stated eligibility, duration, start and expiry dates, redemption limits, and other terms. Before applying a promotion, we will show the end date and whether the subscription will transition to the standard paid price. You may cancel before a paid renewal as described in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
We may suspend paid features for failed or overdue payments after any grace period stated at checkout or in the billing page. Any price change will be communicated in advance where required by law. Billing and cancellation details are further described in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
7. Third-party services and links
The Services may rely on or link to third-party products, such as payment processors, hosting services, identity or email providers, and external business websites. StartupMeu does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, terms, or privacy practices. Your use of them may be governed by separate terms.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account through available settings or by contacting [email protected]. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, created a safety or legal risk, failed to pay amounts due, or if we discontinue a feature or the Services. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
On termination, your access ends. Some public information may remain in backups, legal records, reports, or connection recipients’ copies for the periods described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue—including content permissions already granted, disclaimers, liability provisions, and dispute terms—survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” StartupMeu disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not warrant that a listing, user, funding need, document, or investor profile is accurate, complete, current, lawful, verified, or suitable. We do not guarantee matches, connections, funding, investment performance, returns, or business outcomes. Users are responsible for independently assessing information and counterparties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StartupMeu and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, opportunities, or business interruption arising from or related to the Services or these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StartupMeu’s aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the fees you paid to StartupMeu for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify StartupMeu against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms or law, or your infringement of another person’s rights. This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer rights and any non-waivable jurisdictional rules, courts of competent jurisdiction located in India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services.
13. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a business transfer. These Terms and the policies they incorporate are the entire agreement concerning the Services, subject to any separate written agreement. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

Consumer grievances may be sent to the Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge a consumer complaint within 48 hours and redress it within one month of receipt, in accordance with applicable law.
